Surgery

At PETVET we have a dedicated team of experienced veterinarians and technicians enabling us to perform a wide range of surgical procedures such as cat bite abscess drainage, wound management, routine sterilisation and dental care right up to complex soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures. Our team has access to dedicated surgical facilities equipped with modern patient anaesthetic monitors, fluid pumps, surgical cautery and suction, operating microscope, orthopaedic and endoscopy equipment, digital x-ray and ultrasound facilities and an on-site laboratory.
As with human surgery, our veterinarians scrub up, wear surgical gowns and safety protection as well as using autoclaved instruments throughout the procedure. The surgical bed is heated for the comfort and wellness of our patients who are continually monitored. A fully trained veterinary nurse assists the veterinarian throughout the procedure.
